WHEN WAS THE LAST TIME THAT YOUR TUMMY WASN'T BLOATED AND SLUGGISH BY THE END OF THE DAY?

WHEN WAS THE LAST TIME YOU FELT REALLY ENERGISED AND DIDN'T RELY ON SUGAR TO LIFT YOUR ENERGY?

WHEN WAS THE LAST TIME YOU WERE TOLD THAT YOUR TEST RESULTS WERE NORMAL, DESPITE YOUR GUT SYMPTOMS?

Our digestive issues can stem from many things, but that doesn't necessarily mean that you're stuck with poor digestion!

As you’re probably already aware, our digestive tract (aka. our gut) is arguably the most important organ in the body for our health. It's surface area is huge so that we can absorb as many nutrients from our food as possible. The gut is also a first line of defence for our immune system, it’s where we house trillions of microbes in our microbiome, it’s where we remove waste from the body, plus our gut is closely linked with our brain. For these reasons, in holistic health, we always treat the gut when we are trying to promote health or address an imbalance in the body.

For optimal health, we need to be absorbing the nutrients from our food properly so that it has the building blocks it needs to heal and we need to be eliminating waste and toxins effectively to prevent the harmful effects that they have on the body.  This is why it's so important for our gut to be healthy first and foremost before we can effectively heal any other part of the body.

Symptoms of poor gut health are very common and it doesn’t take much from the effects of our modern world to upset that delicate balance we find in the digestive process. From antibiotics, medications, poor diet and antacids to alcohol, caffeine, stress and illness, we find an onslaught of attacks upon the gut that it can take some time to restore optimal health once again.

A gut healing program addressing the five important phases of gut healing can help you to finally break free from digestive discomfort, such as:

  • Persistent gas and bloating that affects your daily life.

  • Irregular bowels: constipation or diarrhoea (including alternating).

  • Low appetite (especially in the morning).

  • Sensitivities to multiple foods.

  • Daily fatigue.

  • Skin concerns such as acne, rashes, eczema or psoriasis.

  • Brain fog or difficulty concentrating.

  • Joint pain or frequent headaches.

  • Difficulty losing weight.

  • Intestinal permeability ('Leaky Gut').

THE FIVE PHASES OF GUT HEALING:

Remove

The first step is to remove anything that negatively affects gut health. This includes pathogenic gut microbes, stress and known gut irritants through diet and lifestyle changes plus targeted supplementation.

Replace

Next, we aim to ensure we're breaking down our food properly to prevent undigested food from making it's way through the digestive tract, causing fermentation and disrupting gut health. We replace digestive secretions (stomach acid, digestive enzymes and bile) to promote optimal breakdown and assimilation of food and nutrients.

Repair

Our body is very smart and knows how to heal itself. We support this process by providing the gut with the nutrients it needs to help heal and seal the gut lining with specific nutrients that soothe inflammation and support tissue repair.

Repopulate

In this step, we focus on improving the gut microbiome with probiotics and prebiotics to help the good bugs to flourish! Beneficial gut flora help us to neutralise bacterial toxins, enhance gut barrier function, plus reduce digestive symptoms such as bloating and irregular bowel movements.

Rebalance

You've worked so hard to rebalance your gut health, it's essential that you maintain That Good Gut Feeling! Reducing stress, improving sleep, choosing healthy foods and balance all help us maintain a healthy gut.
