ABOUT THE RECIPE


Cherries (especially sour or tart cherries) contain melatonin to aid with sleep. The Greek yoghurt and paleo granola is rich in protein which is essential for serotonin and melatonin production. The cherries and strawberries are potent sources of antioxidants to fight oxidative stress - a huge contributor for poor sleep.

INGREDIENTS

  • 180g Greek yoghurt (or coconut yoghurt)

  • 1/3 cup paleo granola

  • 1/4 cup cherries

  • 1/4 cup strawberries

  • 1 tsp maple syrup

PREPARATION

Add the cherries and maple syrup to a small saucepan and heat through. As the cherries are warmed, squash them with a fork to release the juice. Remove from heat and set aside.


Add the yoghurt to a bowl and top with the granola, fresh strawberries and pour over the cherry syrup. Serve for breakfast or as a delicious snack.
